Community Engagement: Tree Planting Tribute in honor of PNG's 50th Anniversary

Business

On September 6th, the AmCham Coral Sea business community participated in a meaningful community engagement in partnership with Port Moresby Nature Park at Rearea High School in Lealea Village, Central Province, to commemorate Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence Anniversary.
It was a privilege to witness our respected business community unite in planting fifty trees, reaffirming our collective commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable growth. This initiative not only emphasizes our responsibility to conserve PNG’s unique biodiversity but also highlights the importance of corporate social responsibility in fostering resilient communities. We wish to convey our sincere appreciation to all participants whose efforts contributed to the success of this endeavor. Additionally, we thank our main supporters—Port Moresby Nature Park, Newmont Corporation - PNG, Santos Ltd, and Group Therapy Bar and Grill—for their generous support and continued partnership.

As PNG commemorates its golden jubilee, we look forward to a future marked by continued prosperity, unity, and environmental consciousness. Let us continue to work together for a greener tomorrow.
